Pilates Speeds Recovery for Core Four

and also was an intricate part of their rehabilitation , which brought them back to FI just a few short weeks after their hip replacement . seemingly simple tasks , such as getting out of bed , walking around the block and even putting on sneakers can be a challenge . Yet , all of these activities , and so many more , came that much easier for Divina , Debbie , Connie and me due to our core strength and flexibility developed through Pilates .
In addition to Pilates , the four of us incorporate other forms of exercise in our regime . But at the risk of sounding

TIncentive members at different times , and all end up as dedicated Pilates students . These same three women experience various forms of discomfort and pain in their lower backs , adductors , hip flexors and piriformis , throughout an extended period of time . All three of these same strong women end up , within months of one another , scheduling a total hip replacement surgery . Just to be clear , a total hip replacement is a surgical procedure whereby the diseased cartilage and bone of the hip joint is replaced with artificial materials . This is no walk in the park , by any means . However , their dedication to practicing Pilates prepared them for this extensive surgery and played a significant part in their post-surgical recovery .

Who are these determined women ? They are Divina Leitch , Debbie Ruggirello and Connie Nodell . Like I said , they have all been practicing Pilates regularly , which is what I firmly believe prepared them for the surgery

You may be asking yourself , “ How is this possible ; isn ' t Pilates just a stretching class , similar to Yoga ?” The answer is a firm NOPE ! Pilates is a class designed to reshape your body while developing deep core muscles . It also conditions your body to become stronger and more flexible , key elements for anybody experiencing physical discomfort , as well as those who are recovering from an injury or surgery . The core strength developed in Pilates assists the body in so many daily activities , perhaps in ways you ' ve never considered until you ' re in a compromised state .
How do I know so much about this ? I also had a total hip replacement just five short months ago , and I know that if it were not for my practice of Pilates , I would not have recovered so quickly . I was released from the hospital one day earlier than scheduled ! I was walking , yes walking , three hours after my surgery ! Typically after surgery even
Holidays 2016 FIT to Print redundant , it is my strongest belief - one that I feel deep in this strong core of mine - that Pilates is what ultimately brought us back from surgery at an accelerated pace .
