The IC7 cycles are the only bike in the industry to offer “color coaching,” whereby the rider and the instructor can easily see the cyclists exertion by the color of the bike computer screen. We’ll be certifying all of our instructors on this bike and its color coaching model, allowing us to bring this cutting edge approach to FI. Fittest Individual TJ Golub (92nd percentile) Welcome Back, Jen! @ FI The Envelope Please... A s the first days of June turn slowly into summer, it’s a good time to take a look back of the struggles of spring that are now behind us. As Long Island springs will typically be, this one was nasty, brutish and long. But the trials of spring weren’t confined to the weather. For 128 stout-hearted souls the greater challenge was “the contest” the 2015 edition of the Fantastic Four Fit 4 Summer Challenge. Meanwhile, in the twilight of the cycle studio another battle was being waged, this one between inanimate machines. The “Battle of the Bikes” was waged to determine which cycle would become the new spin cycle at Fitness Incentive. Now the wars have all been waged and the victors have emerged. It’s time to open the envelope and reveal the winners... and individual. (TJ Lynch, trainer) Congratulations to everyone and especially to the 2015 champions! Note: The complete contest results are posted on our website. The winner and new champion... We procured 3 top of the line spin cycles - a Schwinn Cobalt Blue, a Matrix IC7 and a Keiser M3i (the M3i being the newest version of our current M3 cycles), and let them battle it out. It was you, our discerning spinners, that would decide - thumbs up or down. Which cycle would be the FI cycle of the future. Somewhat surprisingly, it turned out to be a two bike race, as the Matrix and Keiser left the critically well regarded Schwinn in the virtual dust. In the end the members decision was clear: The Matrix IC7 was the winner, 60% to 40% over the Keiser. It was a close but decisive battle, as both bikes were very well liked. The result of the Battle of the Bikes is that the new Matrix cycles will be heading to Fitness Incentive late summer. We’re excited to be bringing Summer 2015 FIT to Print Our mobile app is about to get a major upgrade.
