X is a must when it comes to getting out
of winter mode and back into beach
shape!

It's been a long winter and spring is
here. For some it's the sound of birds
chirping around Argyle Park while others
look forward to all the beautiful flower
displays around the village. For me, it's
the start of Power X with Kelly and
Shawn at Fitness Incentive. The gym is
packed with excellent equipment, but
that doesn't mean you have to stay
inside. The time has come to get
outside and get moving. Enjoy the sun
in your face and the wind in your hair
while you push past your comfort zone
with a group of really awesome people.
This year as Power X turns 4 it has
become one of my favorite signs of
spring.

Pushing my body to the max and
walking away like a boss! If you think 40
seconds goes by fast, try jumping jacks
with a battle rope. Each week we
celebrate every second longer we
couldn't
complete in a drill set the week before.
The encouragement and the inspiration
from my Power X family is what gets me
through those last 10 seconds. For me
the best part is showing each other how
amazing they are. #wednesdaywarrior

For me, the highlight of Power X is the

unknown. It's kind of like a Rubik's
cube. Just when you think you've got
it all figured out, you realize that you
really don't! You THINK you know what
to expect but it is always new, always
challenging and always a great
workout. I never knew there were
seemingly limitless moves to be done
with a battling rope, TRX and a VIPR!
One of the greatest aspects of the
class are the driven, inspiring,
motivating people that choose to take
it. We have endured all types of
weather, locations and sideways
glances from curious onlookers which
bonded us and created our Power X
family.

Joining Power X has been a game
changer to my fitness routine. Not
only have I become physically stronger,
but the class has also pushed me in
ways I've never been pushed before,
and has also made me mentally
stronger. I would recommend PowerX
to anyone who wants to be pushed to
the next level in their fitness routine.

Power X for me is one of the most
important training sessions of my
weekly workout! This class every week
changes to keep your mind and your
body constantly adapting as the
workouts progress. It's a test of not
only physical strength but mental as
well. I have used Power X to help me
train for Spartan races and I can tell

you they helped me immensely! My
favorite part of the class is all of the
variations on the TRX…..just when you
think Kelly can't come up with another
exercise that pushes you to your
limit…..SHE DOES! Week after week I
still have that anxious feeling before
class wondering what we will be putting
our bodies through that session, but I can
tell you this: after the 30 minutes is over
you feel so amazing and cannot wait for
the next class! Power Xtreme is just what
it sounds like…..I am happy that I took
the challenge and became part of this
team a few years ago!

The best way to describe Power X is “if it
doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change
you.” Power X's weekly challenge consists
of drills using the ropes, Vipr, TRX and, of
course, Kelly Wallace throwing her
wonderful intensity into the mix. Power
X is one of the most physically
challenging and unpredictable workouts
that Fitness Incentive offers, and there's
no doubt that it will change you for the
better.
