affectionately dubbed her, is more than
an employee. She’s a wonder, full of
energy, fun and love for people. They
broke the mold, as the saying goes. But
while her personal brand is completely
her own, she is not alone. So many of
the FI staff go above and beyond every
day, not because they are told to, just
because that’s who they are as people,
and in aggregate, FI has become what it
is because of them.
And there’s one more element of “the
people” that can’t be overstated. That’s
the “quality” of the members. I’m not
saying this to blow smoke up your you
know what. In fact, I’m toning it down so
as not to embarrass you! And it’s not only
my opinion - we read it in our surveys
and hear it at the front desk and in the
cafe—the members are just top drawer.
The chemistry between staff and
members is unique and hard to
duplicate. FI is, in fact, a place made
special by the interaction of people who
love working here with people who love
working out here. That says it all.

More New Stuff

You may not have noticed unless you’re a
taker of classes, but over the past
several months we’ve completely
upgraded the main aerobic room. New
flooring, new color scheme - a whole
new look and feel. The last piece was all
new hand weights. And not just any hand
weights, but the stunning, glowing Jelly
Bells (see above). Beautiful yes, but
they’re more than a pretty face. These
are durable little suckers, backed by an
unheard of 5 year warranty. Which, we
hope, means they’ll keep their beauty
