lanyards and I also opted for the brake system as well. My first thoughts upon opening the carton…….WOW! The anchor pin appeared to be manufactured very well and for its size was fairly light weight. The brake system also appeared to be a quality product. I was out fishing the day before and with 10-15mph winds (and many frustrations) I was very excited to get this system installed and out on the water ASAP. The installation process was very simple; I had to drill a mere two holes for the pin anchor clips which were mounted on the bench seats of the boat. I wasn’t 100% sure if I was going to install the brake system right away or just try out the lanyard system first. After pondering for about 15 minutes I decided to install the brake system on the back of the boat (which meant drilling only four more holes). In my mind I just felt as though the brake system would work better for my needs. The entire installation process took roughly 30 minutes. Now to the actual product in action; it was supposed to be another windy day at the lake; Page 9 | Fishhound Mag 10-15mph were in the forecast. I have fished in stronger winds but a 15mph wind should be able to give the anchor system a true test of its capabilities. Upon arriving at the lake I started my normal routine; power fish down the bank all the way down to the dam and then work slowly back on the northern shoreline. There’s not a ton over cover on this particular lake on the southern shoreline so I typically fish that pretty quickly. It’s the northern shoreline where you’ll find drop-offs, laydowns; lily pad fields and numerous good looking cover. That is where I always tend to slow it down quite a bit and fish the cover hard. Running across the dam, I arrived at the first spot of many that I intended to fish that day. This is a little cove right off to the left of the dam. It’s loaded with pads and laydowns; overhanging brush and other various cover. The wind was blowing down lake right towards the dam; I was heading right into it when I turned to head back up lake. Here was my chance to give the Stick It Anchor Pin its first test. I pulled the 8’ pin out of the clips and slid it into the brake system. I was sitting in approximately 5-1/2’
