ow many of you remember when
a high speed fishing reel had a
retrieve speed that barely eked
above 4.1?
For years, the prevailing thought among
anglers was that power mattered when it
came to landing fish. Anglers would present a
lure into heavy cover, and when a fish struck,
they would jam the hookset and winch the fish
out of the cover.
That worked - most of the time.
But in bass fishing, “most of the time” does not
result in cashing paychecks or hoisting the
trophy overhead very often.
The industry has adapted their offerings to

time management.

Zillion TWS is currently offered in four retrieve
speeds. A 5.5:1 retrieve which is ideal for
throwing deep diving crankbaits as well as
spinnerbaits and jerkbaits in cold water when a
slower presentation is necessary. The .3:1 is the
perfect all around speed. This mid-ran
