My dad passed away a couple weeks ago and I’m still having a hard time believing that he’s gone. everyday something occurs and it reminds me of him. The memories of my father and the things we did together will stay with me forever and its those memories that will help me through this. So why am I unloading on you like this? Well fishing isn’t just something we do to kill time. When I think about my family, I often think about all the good times we had fishing. It’s a pastime that has been shared by many through the years. As little kids we went fishing with our grandfathers, we skipped school to go out on the boat with our dad and watched with excitement as our kids landed their first catch. There are so many reasons why fishing is one of the greatest family activities that we can participate in. It’s the cherished memories that will last a lifetime. So take time and soak it all in. The next time you’re fishing, remember the smile on your kid’s face or the stories your buddy tells. It’s not just about how many fish you catch. It’s the memories you create that’ll last a lifetime.
