all of the fish while trolling

OROVILLE – The fishing at Lake
Oroville has been up and down, with
really good fishing one day followed by
tough fishing the next.
“During the winter, the fish are much
more sensitive to moon phases and
barometric pressure changes as fronts
move through,” said Rob Reimers of
Rustic Rob’s Guide Service.
“On our latest trip to Oroville, the two
anglers kept four fish in the 4 to 5 lb.

Sam’s clients are landing solid numbers
of trout that push up to and beyond 10

fly gear, but most of the hookups come on
trolled Shallow Glass Spinners.
If you are unfamiliar with Shallow Glass
Lures, they are handmade trout and
salmon lures constructed from hand blown
glass. The reflection and refraction of
the light through the glass puts off a very
bright, attractive shine to lure the fish in.
The color will not dull or fade overtime and
won’t chip away.
Shallow Glass offers a full line
of traditional spinners and snelled
spinners that utilize handmade glass
beads. For more information check
Shallow Glass Lures out on line at www.

Shallow Glass Lures.
Fly anglers are finding big fish cruising
close to shoreline structure. Midge
imitations and leaches are doing the
damage. The bite is productive all day
long, but the best fishing takes place
during breezy overcast days.
