I haven’t heard of any fish caught from the bank at the mouth yet.” “I would expect the fishing to turn on until late September when the American River fall Chinooks arrive in big numbers,” said Pfanner. For channel catfish, Pfanner suggested fishing the Sutter Bypass with mackerel, chicken liver and anchovies. Other spots worth trying include the Port of Sacramento, Sacramento Deepwater Shipping Channel and Lisbon Slough. For crappie, he recommended fishing jigs or minnows under a bobber around the pumping stations in the Sutter and Yolo Bypasses. - Dan Bacher Trout ~ Kokanee ~ Salmon ~ Shad Big Channel Cats on Prowl OFFICIAL SPONSOR 18 Proven Kokanee/Trout Dodgers! 240 different size/ color combinations! 4 All Natural Scents... 82 YEARS of Catching Kokanee, TROUT & KOKANEE Trout, Salmon & Shad 100% Made in the USA Without a DICK NITE...
