Grace Naves caught this awesome 16 inch late season kokanee at Stampede Reservoir while fishing with her dad , Fish Sniffer field editor , Jack Naves . As of press time the Norcal kokanee season was just about over . It was an epic kokanee season this year with big fish coming out of several reservoirs including Whiskeytown , Bullards Bar and Stampede . Kokanee fishing will kick back into gear in the spring . Until then coldwater anglers will have to occupy their time with trout fishing .
