Lorenzo Rossetti & Lamaj Plaza Take 2017 UFC3 Title on River2Sea Frogs
T he 3rd annual UFC “ Battle of the Frogs ” event presented by Gone
Fishin Marine lived up to the hype as 150 teams converged on the California Delta at Russo ’ s Marina to test their skills in a unique competition that allowed them to use ANY top water frog bait on the market to help coax the California delta ’ s monster largemouth into biting .
And despite temperatures and tides that were very favorable for the event , most teams found an extremely tough bite during both days of competition , finding either very few bites , or just a few quick “ blow ups ” followed by long periods of dead space .
But tough challenges fall right into the hands of delta veterans like Lamaj Plaza and Lorenzo Rossetti , who ’ s modest first day weight of just 9 pounds ( for 3 fish ) quickly morphed into a 6-fish limit
The team of Aaron Cervelli and Mike Spencer took the amateur division ’ s top spot scoring big on the first day weighing in a 17-pound 3-fish limit , followed by small limit on day 2 , that was just enough to allow them to hang on to the lead and capture the UFC3 ’ s amateur division title .

weighing nearly 30 pounds , allowing them to crush the field and capture their first Ultimate Frog Challenge title .
Their limit was anchored by a 9.08 largemouth caught on a River2Sea Bully WA frog , which helped them also collect $ 1,000 in River2Sea bounty money , and deliver – for the 3rd consecutive year , the Top Frog “ Royal Rumble ” Award trophy to the River2Sea home office .

Bob ’ s Marine Amateur Only Owners Tournament Set For Sept 9 & 10
Are you an amateur bass angler , or perhaps bought a boat from Bob ’ s Marine of Modesto , or do business with Bob ’ s ? If the
answer is yes , you are eligible to fish the 13th Annual Bob ’ s Marine Owners & Customers Appreciation Tournament at Clear Lake on September 9th and 10th .
On Friday , September 12 evening check-in will take place from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at Konocti Vista Casino . Tournament meeting takes place Friday night at 6:15 pm . One competitor must be present .
A Saturday night raffle is included for all competitors in the event . The raffle starts at 6:00 pm . You must be present to win in the raffle . There will be no dinner scheduled , but anglers can enjoy one of the many restaurants in the Clear Lake area and then come back and enjoy a cocktail and the awesome raffle .
Bob ’ s Marine staff will be on hand to assist you with any questions . The entry fee for the
