Spring has sprung , critters have riz
Welcome back fellow sporting enthusiasts to another exciting issue of Fish , Hunt & Ride magazine .
The feeling of renewal and rebirth is everywhere and our fish and wildlife are in full rejuvenation mode . Take a jaunt into God ’ s country and have a look for yourself – the die-hard sportsmen and women of Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec are emerging after a long and snowy winter , much like our hungry and raring-to-go black bears !
It ’ s an exhilarating time for us here at FHR too , with the first FISH , HUNT & RIDE SPORTSMEN ’ S SHOW that wrapped up in April at the EY Centre . For those of you like me who grew up with a father , uncle or friend heading off each year to the annual sportsmen show , you know spring arrived .
It was like Christmas morning for thousands of hunters , fishers and riders , and more so this year with our very own show to celebrate . We met and mingled with many outdoor enthusiasts as humanly possible from both sides of the river and beyond .
In this issue we have awesome features in store including Ed Hand ’ s informative Q & A with up-and-coming Canadian country music star Meghan Patrick . We thank Meghan for agreeing to appear in this issue as well . When she ’ s not performing or recording , this gal can be found out on the water or in the woods .
And if the glitz and glam of Ms . Patrick wasn ’ t enough , look for coverage of such things as early season trout , B . O .
