Welcome from the BRANCH
Hello and welcome to the digital relaunch of 'First Words'.
It's been frankly rather hectic our end recently! We've
held two Halloween parties, a nearly new sale, collected
some fantastic prizes for our New Year raffle, and are
about to start on a run of no fewer than THREE Christmas
parties! We've redesigned our webpages so they are now much
more user-friendly and contain a wealth of information about branch activities and services, along with things of interest in our local area. The website front page is on the next page, complete with hyperlinks if you are reading online.
We're always looking for new ideas and new helpers, and we'd particularly like to get more dads on board. Even volunteering for a few minutes a week or at an event once a year helps, so please do get involved if you can.
Huge thanks to all our contributors, and especially to Susanna for going way above and beyond her Newsletter Editor role in putting together the design of this first digital edition of 'First Words'. Hope you enjoy reading and clicking it!

Welcome from the editor
Welcome to First Words – the NCT quarterly magazine
for NCT Beckenham & Borders. This is the first time the magazine has been available online. We’d like to reach
as many readers as possible, so please do share the
link: www.nct.org.uk/branches/beckenham-borders/newsletters.
There are lots of hyperlinks throughout the magazine
and these 'flash up' when you initially turn the page. All of our adverts are hyperlinked to the relevant organisation’s website and contact details too. If you’d like to advertise in our next issue then please, check out the details on page 49. We’d also love to hear from you at [email protected] if you have any feedback, or if you’d like to write an article in the next issue.
We’ve put a special emphasis on dads in this issue but I hope that everyone finds something useful and interesting to read. Do let us know what you think and have a very Merry Christmas!
Susanna Dale-Simmonds, Newsletter Editor & mum to Rosanna (1)
