Welcome from the BRANCH

Hello and welcome to our Spring

edition, our second in digital format.

All the new year pressure to 'Spring

Clean Your Life', and embrace the 'New Year, New You', is a bit much to take on when you're immersed in young children. We've gone for a considerably more manageable 'trying something new' theme.

At this point I'm obliged to encourage you to try something new by volunteering for us... There are new friends to make, and new skills to learn, especially if you want to broaden your CV. For instance, while I was fretting over air conditioning units in my previous career in building management, I never expected I'd ever edit or design a magazine - but now I have! You can see lots of ideas for using branch volunteer roles on your CV on our website, where you can also find our current vacancies, and tasks we always need extra hands for.

The digital version is packed with hyperlinks that 'flash up' when you initially turn the page. Please share the link if you can: www.nct.org.uk/branches/beckenham-borders/newsletters. All adverts are linked to the relevant organisation’s website and contacts; if you’d like to advertise in our next issue, please see page 50.

We’d love to hear your feedback and ideas at [email protected], and do let us know if you fancy writing an article for the Summer issue (great outdoors) or Autumn issue (what motivates you).

Huge thanks to all our contributors for sharing their time and experiences. Hope you enjoy reading and clicking!
