First Words Spring 2017 | Page 42

We quaffed sausage rolls, mince pies, gingerbread and mulled wine (which smelled the part, if lacking in the booze department). The kids made beautiful Christmas cards, some of them impressively 3-dimensional in their spectacular glittery messiness. Babies were either terrified of Santa or had to be forcibly disentangled from his luscious facial hair, and the orderly queues for pressies didn't quite work out! Stella and Sarah led a rousing festive singalong at Happy Mondays, while BB&B settled for the ever-popular bubble machine and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer on repeat. Thank you to everyone who came along and had fun.

GLITTERTASTIC

it all seems a long time ago now

A massive thank you to all our volunteers in front of and behind the scenes: Victoria, Stella, Clare, Paula, Sarah, Emily, Jason, Shaun, Catherine, Riannan, Laura, Donna, Deborah, Dawn's dad, Julie, Riannan's auntie, Shenay, Steve U, Trevor, Steve C, John, Davina, Liz and Sharon. Special thanks to Louise Whitehart whose last Happy Mondays it was, and who contributed so much in her time as Coordinator.

Huge thanks to our partner Big Yellow Storage Beckenham, without whose support we could not store the equipment necessary to run events.

A lovely festive time was had by all at our THREE Christmas parties at Dads & Little Ones, Happy Mondays and Bumps, Babies & Beyond in December.
