Having done a fabulous job launching the first digital 'First Words', our eMagazine Editor, Susanna Dale-Simmonds, is leaving us for a big move Up North. Our previous Newsletter Designer, Laura Skelton, unfortunately missed a mention last quarter, but we appreciate MORE THAN EVER now her patience with our past deadline-stretching antics - thank you! Congratulations to Louise Whiteheart who won a great promotion at work and sadly had to leave us as Happy Mondays Coordinator. As well as her dedication to running the playgroup alongside a full-time job, Louise was a vital component in organising the Halloween and Christmas parties. We welcome Susie Lampert who has stepped into the breach with her gorgeous boys in tow, and is hoping to also bring you Messy Play Mondays in the school holidays.

0ur volunteers are balancing young children, paid work, elderly parents and other volunteer roles. If they can squeeze it in, you might be able to too! Do let us know - we’d love to have you on the team.
Volunteering is a fantastic way to make new friends. It’s also a good way to keep your brain in gear and have something to put on your CV if you go back to work or change careers. Some roles require only a few minutes a week whilst others need significantly more commitment. Only the core roles require you to hold NCT membership. Very few roles require attending monthly meetings if you do not wish to, as we communicate by email (provided by the branch) and through a closed Facebook group.
