First Words Spring 2017 | Page 17

The first session we ran on the topic of sleep on 20 January was a bit overwhelmingly well supported! But after that we settled down to a very manageable number of participants, and we’ve seen some people come to several sessions in a row as well. The atmosphere has been very lively and we’ve had some good conversations. I’ve certainly enjoyed the sessions very much and got a lot out of them, as I also do when I facilitate Early Days. I love seeing people from my antenatal classes postnatally, but I also like the fact that people who have not had a chance to do NCT and might not have a friendship group have another opportunity to meet others and discuss issues of relevance to them.

I’m very much hoping that people who have come along to the drop-in will then take advantage of some of the other things that NCT has to offer, both courses like Early Days and also branch activities. Similarly, people who have done Early Days, but want to talk about sleep or baby development again, a month or two later, are more than welcome to come along and drop in on a Friday!

Please note there will be no drop-in on 14 April.

Hope to see you at an Early Days course and/or the drop-in soon!
