Small ideas taking inspiration from our children's fearless testing of their limits
Try OUT a new form of exercise: Get some alone time swimming lengths, try a yoga or pilates class or, if you have a babysitter, book a badminton court with your partner and thrash out who's doing the night shift!
Learn a new skill: There are local evening classes and social groups for life drawing, sewing, knitting, pottery painting or a host of other pursuits in which you can find your creative side for an evening a week or month
Visit a hidden gem in your neighbourhood: There are lots of ideas from local parents on our website, or ask other parents at playgroup or nursery drop-off for their tips
Introduce yourself to a neighbour you don't know: even better if they have a baby or young child - the small talk is dealt with! You might end up exchanging laughter, baby gear, playdates and babysitting for years to come

Trying Something
New
Start a journal to write your jumbled thoughts in, or to record the funny things your toddler says. Or the whole family could make a happiness jar to look back on your year
