“This is literally a breastfeeding mummy's best friend! THE most gentle and effective way of expressing breast milk. I have struggled with feeding my now 5 week old baby due to very serious damage and infection to nipples caused by a poor latch. Other pumps, both manual and electric have been sore and thus ineffective. The Haakaa was recommended to me and I found [the Naturebond] to be an identical option which came with a travel bag and cap, and at an (even more) reasonable price point. I have not been disappointed. I can get A LOT more milk using this, compared even to a hospital grade pump, and without the discomfort. It is essentially the same as hand expressing using a gentle silicone suction cup. I can feed on one side while expressing from the other, which was too sore to feed from. Although if doing this beware the wriggly baby who kicks it off!! I cannot recommend this highly enough and have already put all my breastfeeding mummy friends onto it!”

The pumps made by Haakaa and Naturebond are BPA free, made from 100% food grade silicone, and can be sterilised using a steam steriliser or the boiling water method. Beware of cheaper imitations which may not be of the same high quality and could compromise mother and baby’s safety.
