enator Marco Rubio greeted First Coast locals on his
book tour in July.
Rubio was promoting his new memoir, An American
Son, throughout Florida. Rubio visited Books-A-Million
on Wells Road in Orange Park on the evening of July
2. Locals lined up to shake hands with the senator and Florida
native, who eagerly spoke to fans and signed books.
Rubio served in the Florida House of Representatives from
2000-2008 and was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2010. His committee assignments currently include Commerce, Science and
Transportation; Foreign Relations; Intelligence; and Small Business and Entrepreneurship. Rubio and his wife Jeanette have
four young children and live in west Miami.
