I think Audi have been very clever with
the Q2, they are certainly looking to
attract those buyers who may have
looked at Juke’s, Renault Captur, or
other of the smaller SUV’s and want to
have a quality brand. Of course quality
comes at a price and Audi being Audi
you need to look very, very carefully at
their catalogue of extras. The list price
is attractive but it can rapidly increase
by thousands, for example the brilliant
blue colour scheme is a £700 plus
extra, however black or white, is ok, a
no cost option.
The range varies between £27,000
and a high £36,200, emissions are
on the low side and the 1.4-litre TFSi
that I had the privilege of testing,
had a 0-60 time of 8.5 seconds
and a top speed where legal of
132mph.
My mileage in a week’s
occupancy included a lot of
motorway and dual carriageway,
so you would expect reasonably
good performance and 50.3 mpg
was the computers suggested
miles per gallon whilst in company
with the vehicle and I found that
to be exceptionally good for the
vehicle and the size and conditions
in which it was being used.
All in all yet another
successful vehicle
enters in to the
mighty arsenal of
Audi products.
