55 . List ; in the recommended order of use , the available travel radio frequencies for use within the County when assigned to a mutual aid event .
57 . List , in the recommended order of use , the available tactical radio frequencies for use within the County when assigned to a mutual aid event .
58 . What are the primary functions of law enforcement personnel at a fire related incident , and how might you best utilize them ?
59 . While on a wildland strike team , you are directed to determine whether structures were defensible or non-defensible – what are some of the criteria you would use ?
60 . What is the difference between a garden style and center hallway apartment complex , and what are some of the challenges of both types of structures ?
If you ’ re not sure where to find the answers to the above questions , a good suggestion would be to reference your County Mutual Aid Plan ( assuming you have one ), the California Mutual Aid Plan ( available on the State OES website ), the FIRESCOPE Field Operations Guide ( FOG Manual ), your agency policies , and the internet , just to name a few .
Even if you ’ re not asked these questions during a promotional exam , they are still critical for you to know in your daily job as a fire officer if the subject matter is applicable to your department – which it should be if you serve in a California Fire Department .
