Since 1993, he has taught fire technology and EMS classes at the Chabot College Fire Technology Program (Hayward, CA), and where he has also served as the fire technology coordinator, and EMT program director and primary instructor. Steve is a former president of the Northern California Training Officers Association, the 2008 Ed Bent, California Fire Instructor of the year and a state- certified chief officer and master instructor.
