This past winter, we were treated to above-normal temperatures.
I loved that I could sleep with the windows open in February! Spring
had us closely measuring rainfall and fearing flood stage. Now...
we’re already experiencing near-record high temperatures in
Frederick County. That’s what is so great about this region—the
seasons change with great drama. Just when you’ve had enough of
one, another is just around the corner.
With those changing seasons come new opportunities for fun.
Summer in Frederick County is when things really get swingin’.
Festivals, special events, longer shopping hours, patio dining, and
then even more festivals means no one can claim boredom! There
quite literally is something for everyone...and usually on the same
street. No one gets boxed in!
This issue is packed with great ideas for spending these lazy, hazy
days of summer. Whether the heat finds you seeking cool shelter
in a chill bookstore, sipping wine at a local vineyard, or sitting in the
stands cheering at a Keys game, Frederick County is the perfect
place to be for the summer.
