is winging in from England just to participate in this event! He will also be
racing in the high wheel event. Held at the AOPA Community Center, tickets
for this evening event are separate from the riding components, but very
reasonably priced... $12 pre-purchase, or $15 day of, which includes a delicious
catered dinner.
The high wheel race is on a 0.4 mile loop around downtown Frederick City.
During the race, the city park directly in front of City Hall, which is on the
race loop, will be turned into a beer garden with locally brewed beers and
non-alcoholic beverages and food available. A selection of rare historic antique
bicycles will also be on display adjacent the beer garden.
So even if you’re not up to peddling your way around Frederick County, this
event still has plenty of fun for everyone.
