THE BEES KNEES
As one of Central Maryland’s most experienced beekeepers, Allen Winpigler
keeps over one hundred hives. Allen’s Apiary products including extracted honey,
creamed honey, homemade honey oatmeal soap bars, and beeswax candles
available at several markets throughout the county.
The early summer honey has a light quality and originates from a profusion of
wildflowers, while the latter honey is more robust and is typically darker in color
because of the goldenrod that blooms later in the summer.
Allen sells only raw extracted honey so it full of all the things that make honey not
only delicious, but also a healthy treat!
