Financial Inclusion Week is quickly approaching. During the week of October 17-21, 2016, organizations around the globe will host conversations focused on how to ensure that clients are empowered and protected in a financial ecosystem that has moved beyond brick and mortar to cell phones and internet delivery channels. Over 30 organizations have already signed on to hold events on this year’s theme; keeping clients first in a digital world.

How can you get involved?

It is not too late to become a partner and to help shape the conversation. We invite organizations from all parts of the financial inclusion community to join in, including banks, insurance companies, payment companies, telecommunication companies, policymakers, regulators, NGOs, microfinance institutions, investors, financial inclusion support organizations, financial capability experts, and fintech companies. Partners will host conversations with their relevant stakeholder groups, focused on keeping clients first in a digital world. We supply a toolkit of Financial Inclusion Week materials to aid in their preparation. The week’s events can take many forms – from roundtables to webinars to conferences – and can address a wide range of topics related to the overall theme. You can see a full list of last year’s partners and events on the Financial Inclusion Week website. This year, VisionFund, Innovations for Poverty Action, and IFMR LEAD are three of the dozens or organizations that have already started planning.

If you are interested in becoming a partner, please visit the Financial Inclusion Week 2016 web page, where you can learn more about the week and fill out an initial interest form. You can also reach out directly to Allyse McGrath at [email protected] with any questions you may have.
