Spring Time News
Livingston Union School District focuses on ensuring that students receive an education that
prepares them for success in high school, college or career. All of our students deserve the
best possible educational experience. We continually work to achieve this by offering quality
learning programs, engagement and enrichment opportunities such as music, arts,
technology and developing biliteracy. Most importantly, we can best prepare students by
training and supporting our teachers in providing effective daily teaching and learning. This
newsletter highlights some of the programs and services offered and recognizes our success.
Parents or guardians, you are your child’s most important teacher. I encourage you to take
an active role in supporting your child’s education. You can do this by attending parent
conferences, communicating with your child’s teacher, make sure homework is completed,
participate in parent workshops/classes, encouraging your child, and ensure they come to
school every day. Thank you for your ongoing support of our schools. —Andrès Zamora,

Governing School Board
This past December, new board member,
Rigo Espinoza, was seated on the Livingston
Union School Board.
In addition, two
incumbents,
Yolanda
Correia
and
Kanwaldeep Bains were reelected. LUSD is
fortunate to have a governance team that is
truly committed and supportive of the
children and staff of our school community.
