Habitat and ecology: This nocturnal and arboreal frog inhabits lowland and montane forests up to 2000 m asl. It is thought to be a primary forest dweller, although we have found it in secondary forest as well. There is no tadpole phase and the eggs develop and hatch on the back of the females. Females will carry on their backs around 18 froglets. As with other species in the genus, it mainly feeds on other frogs. At the MLC: Not recorded.
