Pristimantis olivaceus
Description : This small frog has an olive / yellowish green dorsum with some dark scattered spots . It has a white interorbital bar bordered posteriorly by a black bar . It presents a dark postorbital stripe and a canthal stripe , which can be faint . It has a rostral papilla . The venter is greenish cream / white . It has a bronze iris with black reticulations .
Similar species : Pristimantis lacrimosus and P . mendax lack a rostral papilla and a light interorbital bar bordered by a black one . P . tantanti is also green , but has white spots in the dorsum and lacks an interorbital bar . It differs from species of the genus Scinax by the general form and toepad shape . P . pluvialis is larger , has smoother skin and lacks the interorbital bar or has it very faint .
Habitat and ecology : It inhabits tropical humid lowland and montane forests .
At the MLC : It has been found all around the reserve , but more frequently in the bamboo forest area . Three individuals were found in a bamboo traps located at ground level . Apparently they were using it as shelter . One individual was found at 950 m asl in the Piñi Piñi range .

Descripción : Esta pequeña rana tiene un dorso verde oliva / amarillento con algunos puntos negros dispersos . Tiene una banda interorbital blanca bordeada posteriormente por otra negra . Tiene bandas postorbitales y cantales oscuras , que pueden ser poco evidentes . Presenta una papila rostral . El vientre es blanco / crema verdoso . Tiene un iris color bronce con un patrón reticulado negro .
Especies similares : Pristimantis lacrimosus y P . mendax carecen de una papilla rostral y de una banda interorbital clara bordeada por una oscura . P . tantanti también es verde , pero tiene puntos blancos en el dorso y no presenta una banda inteorbital . Se diferencia de las especies del género Scinax por su forma general y la de las almohadillas digitales . P . pluvialis es de mayor tamaño , tiene una piel más lisa y la banda inteorbital no está presente o lo está de manera muy débil .
Hábitat y ecología : Habita en bosques tropicales húmedos montanos y de tierras bajas .
En el MLC : Ha sido encontrado por toda la reserva , pero más frecuentemente en la zona de bosque de bambú . Tres individuos fueron encontrados en trampas de bambú situadas al nivel del suelo . Aparentemente la estaban usando como refugio . Un individuo fue encontrado a 950 msnm en la cordillera del Piñi Piñi .
