Objectives :
1. To expose the student
on the agroforestry activity.
2. To provide firsthand experience to the students on how agricultural activity take place in the forest.
First Week
1. Setting up the plot for straw mushroom plant
beds
- Arrange the plant beds in line
2. Bed preparation
- Preparing the empty fruit bunch (EFB) of oil
palm after 2 weeks of fermentation
- Arrange the EFB in line. EFB use per plant bed
is 7EFB x 3 EFB, Each EFB must intact with each
other to enable the spread of the mycelium of
the mushroom
- Wash-off the plant beds to eliminate the
residue oil in the EFB
3. Sowing the seed in every layer of the EFB.
4. Cover the whole plant bed by using poly
beg.
