Roll with the punches. Sometimes you feel good and sometimes you feel bad, just know it won’t last. One sure fire way to hurt your performance in a race is to start focusing on the negative. In racing it might be legs hurting or feeling tired or people passing you. In life, the same holds true.

Life Lesson: Focus on your goal. You will have times when things are clicking and times when you feel challenged, but know that everything is fluid! Enjoy the ups! And don’t let the downs gain too much power. Tell yourself the challenges are part of the ride and don’t get sucked into complete discouragement. Your history doesn’t dictate your future, unless you let it.
