here’s nothing like reaching your destination and pulling up to the valet with onlookers staring. Looks of awe and envy are quite apparent, as everyone is marveling at what just arrived. The stares are not about you, but about your brand-new 2017 BMW 5-series; the hottest luxury vehicle to hit the road this year. In their minds, they are furtively wishing that they could be the driver behind the wheel, emerging at the perfect moment in exceptional style.

The new BMW 5 Series accentuates the fashionably in charge. The exterior is designed to allure spectators and rubberneckers, but the inside is as equally beautiful and a perfect complement.

The 5-Series displays an elegant design and superior materials, but is longer and wider than the old model. The outside looks sporty and the sleek cabin is more spacious boasting more rear headroom, elbow and shoulder space. In-fact, the cabin of the new 5-Series is very much like the bigger BMW 7-Series, but interior upgrades include BMW's redesigned infotainment screen, which now sits on top of the dashboard. The iDrive rotary controller returns, but the 10.3-inch display is now a touchscreen, too, so there’s more than one way to manage the infotainment system. The iDrive 6.0 infotainment system features easy to use gesture control, voice control, and heads-up display. M Sport models feature a leather steering wheel, pedal covers, as well as some minor trim changes. In cars with the optional multi-contour seats, a touch receptor on the edge of the seat calls up the seating menu on the iDrive screen. The revamped iDrive logic now features six large tiles (displayed three at a time) for the system’s major functions; touching one enlarges that function to full-screen size, and touching the header at the top opens a menu for that function.

There are three seat styles to choose from – Standard, Sport and Comfort. However, the Standard model does not have the adjustable side bolsters of the Sport versions or the massage function of the Comfort seats.

Two non-metallic and 11 metallic color shades are available for the new BMW 5 Series, and six BMW Individual paint finishes and two BMW Individual Frozen paint finishes will join the selection over the course of 2017. Customers can choose from a total of 17 different light-alloy wheels (17-inch to 20-inch). And the Original BMW Accessories range offers another three complete wheel sets in 20-inch format.

With show-stopping performance, beautiful design, and state-of-the-art technology, it’s redefining what it means to be The Ultimate Driving Machine.
