Garrett Grass Gospel Hour   Why We Chose Them This is not only the 5th year of The Festy, but also the 5th year of one of my favorite things to do at The Festy: sing and play some gospel music. Gospel music reaches far into the roots of just about every type of American music, especially bluegrass. I grew up singing shape note songs in church and learned harmony and all the parts.“Sangin’s”, as my family calls them, were a regular part of growing up and that is the vibe we try to capture at the gospel set. Whether you are spiritual or not, you’re sure to enjoy the gathering of singers and musicians that will be joining us. They will include part of the Garrett Family, Josh Shilling, Dustin Benson, The Falco Brothers, The Dusters, Sarah Siskind, Nicki Bluhm, and more! There will be a variety of uplifting music for a beautiful Festy Sunday morning. You are invited to bring a cup of coffee or a mimosa and enjoy our morning song hour. —Jeremy Garrett, The Infamous Stringdusters Nathan Moore  Why We Chose Them Every year we see the audience and staff inspired by The Festy gathering in Nelson. But we haven’t seen an artists who was more effected than Nathan. This year we’ve invited him to hop over the mountain from Staunton and help host the Main Stage. —Michael Allenby, The Artist Farm
