U13 – Louis Williams
On Wednesday 17th May, a party of 100 left Hereford to
compete in the 43rd International Football Tournament held
at VV Brederodes in the Netherlands, We won the overall
tournament which is great but more importantly all 75
players 10 managers 4 referees and 7 committee made new
lifelong friendships and built on existing ones. We've taken
an U15G team for the 1st time in 43 years and finished an
amazing 3rd. U13 players 1st tour for them and battled hard
against bigger teams but gaining vital points. U15 squad
unbeaten across the whole weekend. U17 narrowly missing
out on 1st place. U19 100% commitment on and off the
pitch achieving 1st place. A massive thanks to all 75 players

who have represented themselves impeccably. The 10
managers for supporting all the players across the weekend.
And Hereford Lions Club for making this trip happen. We
welcomed our friends from Lekvogels Lexmond to
Hereford in October and look forward to returning to
Blankensteijn sportpark - Brederodes for #ijt2019 in June.
“Going on tour as a player is something that you can’t
really explain unless you’ve been on a tour… You make so
many good friends, and it’s friends for life… It’s that
teamwork, that camaraderie, that you just can’t beat... I’m
sure it’s something that these girls and boys get every time
they come to Hereford.”
