HEREFORD LIONS CLUB GOLF
DAYS RAISE £21,000 FOR CHARITY!
The last five years have realised a great
contribution to local charities from supporters of
Lions not only from Herefordshire but far and wide
who play one day a year in the Hereford Lions
club’s annual golf tournament at Herefordshire
Golf Club. With the £5,000 raised at this year’s
event the golfers have achieved a marvellous total
of £21,000 for Lions to distribute to local charities.
Friendships are renewed and a stop at the hut at the
11th where a fresh ham roll and a sustaining drink is
enjoyed seems the only reason to play. Lots of team
prizes, longest drives, and nearest the pins complete
the day. Our sponsors are generous to a tee.
This year’s winners were Bob Marshall, Ady
Marshall, Kevin Perry and Gareth Mussell who by one
point walked away with the first team prize.
The Ladies team who won were Pauline Foster
Clare Hadley Gina Wyke and Sue Price.
All our thanks go to the staunch supporters. Many
thanks to Lions John von Anrep, John Oldman and Ian
Foster who organised the highly successful
tournament.
