Have you ever used THE WORD
TO OVERCOME SELF-HATRED ?
( WHAT VERSE HELPED ?)
Of course , without the word to encourage me I ’ d be lost in self-pity , doubt , and despair . I can ’ t say that there is one specific verse that has helped me overcome self-hatred because I ’ ve had to rely on several verses to get to this point in my life . My favorite go to scripture ( s ) are Philippians 4:19 , “ I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me ”. I keep this one tucked away in my heart because there are moments when the feelings of insecurity and doubt try to creep . Usually after a model call or casting that I really wanted but wasn ’ t selected for . Philippians 4:13 reminds me that regardless of the outcome and whatever I go through I can make it and I am enough . Jeremiah 29:11 states , “ For I know the plans I have for you ,” declares the Lord , “ plans to prosper you and not to harm you , plans to give you hope and a future .” Because I know that God desires to prosper me and not harm me , I know that in due timing I will be selected for the events I am supposed to be a part of .
