Often times I would compare myself to the world and quickly realize the more I did, the more I fell short. My hair wasn't long enough, booty wasn't big enough, car wasn't nice enough and many more. I understood if I looked at the world long enough I wouldn't be enough. I felt inadequate and had many insecurities until one day I came to the conclusion that my beauty isn't revealed through the eyes of people. My beauty has nothing to do with the number of likes I get on my Instagram pictures nor the standards that society calls beautiful.
However, true beauty lies within. A sweet and kind personality can win someone over any day, not just looks.
When we stop comparing ourselves to others and actually start embracing the woman we are today then we will not speak words of negativity, but words of life.
We will see ourselves through the eyes of our Father who sees us as worthy. The Father that loves us unconditionally, not by our outward appearance, but through us inwardly.
He sees our heart and the amazing beauty that lies within. God showers us with His unconditional love daily. He doesn't wait until we get better, or once we lose the 20 pounds. He loves us exactly where we are and so should we!
