Varsity Fire Station Open House

On January 31, The City of Calgary hosted a drop-in session for all Varsity residents to learn about the proposed redevelopment of Fire Station #17 Redevelopment at the Varsity Acres Presbyterian Church.

Prior outreach sessions include:

- January 17 (7:00 a.m.), Varsity Community Association Board Meeting

- January 24 (6:30-8:00 p.m.), Adjacent Residential Landowners Meeting

- January 31 (5:00-8:00 p.m.), Community Wide Drop in Session.

Tuscany Fire Station

The Varsity Fire Station has reached the end of its life cycle after 46 years. A new fire station is needed to meet the growing needs of the community and surrounding area.

In spring 2018, The City plans to submit a land use re-designation application that will include provision for an affordable housing development and other services to the community.

The new facility will be built on City-owned land to the north of the existing facility at 3740 32 Ave N.W.
