CONNECTING OTHERS TO OUR WORK
2015 will also mark a new chapter in our connection to donors, partners
and our community. You will see a new look and feel to our website, more
frequent Village News and a robust social media presence. We will also shine
a spotlight on the issue of homelessness by expanding our events, including
the Good Neighbor Month, Children’s Gala, Thanksgiving 5K, TOWERthon
and much more.
MAINTAINING AND ENHANCING FINANCIAL STABILITY
Because a bright future must be built on a strong foundation, we will
continue our stewardship of the financial trust you place in us. Private
funding enables us to respond to the ever-changing needs of the homeless
individuals and families in our region. This year we will look for opportunities
to reduce debt, increase strategic reserves and improve revenue streams,
including expanding our retail operations. These financial
strategies will firmly position us to expand and enhance our
services for those most in need.
I close with a thank you for your continued support, and I look
forward to working with each of you to end homelessness in
our community.
God Bless,
Deacon Jim F. Vargas, OFS
