Q: What made you take fashion more seriously and make a career out of it?
A: For as far back into my childhood growing up in Peru that I can remember, I have always wanted to be a fashion designer. My mother was a seamstress and it fascinated me to see the beautiful things she created. I think that was the first thing that stimulated my desire to become a designer. Perhaps that became imprinted in my mind when I saw my sister, a model, and how beautiful she looked in couture fashions.
