#FOM SPOTLIGHT

Who is Artist Ledom?

….I’m trying to bring sexy and something that will always be beautiful to look at [the creative]. Something classic, but edgy at the same time. I don’t want to be just sexy, but I don’t want to be overly artsy to the point where a regular person might not be able to appreciate it. I’m about putting all that I am – all the different sides of me into what project I’m doing.

Where does your art stem from?

I’ve just always been the creative type; my parents aren’t necessarily creative- I’m not sure where it comes from. My [twin] brother and I are just kind of rebels and are the black sheep/weirdos of the family in all the good ways! I like to express myself in ways that show parts of me. For instance I might do a shoot naked –

but that’s not defining me, rather expressing a side of me.

What made you come from your birthplace of Germany to the U.S.?

My mom is German, my dad is American and through my dad being in the Military, they met and we stayed in Germany until I was 13. Before I moved to the states I had this whole idea that everything in the U.S. was like LA! I thought everything would be all glamorous like a movie!

Then we moved to South Carolina and thought like, what the hell did you to me! [laughs]

3 Truths & 1 Lie

Some people may view your work as art, and some view it as crossing

over the line of being sexy. What’s your reaction to this?

If I do a shoot that is nude and really sexy, I usually try to follow it up with something that is more artistic and fashion, that gives it a balance. All I can say though is that I’m comfortable with my body. I’m from Europe, and you can go to a pool or lake and people are naked, no one looks at it twice. I think I still have that mindset of being really free with myself. I still keep a balance of what I will and will not do when it comes to the risqué level of a shoot.
