Introducing Superintendent,
Bradley Porche', Ed.D.
With over 14 years experience in the field of Deaf Education, Dr. Porche' served as Principal at the
Mississippi School for the Deaf where he oversaw K-12 program until becoming a Secondary Principal. He
was also responsible for STEM and Career Technical Education Programming and has a great deal of
experience in regulations, policy and operational management. Starting his career in Deaf Education as a
substitute and then becoming a teacher in Houston, TX., Dr. Porche' published his dissertation on the topic
of "An Investigation of Technology Leadership Among State Schools for the Deaf in the United States."
Dr. Porche' was previously a board member of the Conference of Educational Administrators of Schools
and Programs for the Deaf (CEASD). He served as a Governor appointed council member of the
Mississippi Vocational Rehabilitation System. He has served as a board member for several different
organizations such as Mississippi Hands and Voices, Mississippi Chapter of the Gallaudet University
Alumni Association (MCGUAA), and the National ASL and English Bilingual Consortium for Early
Childhood Education.
With over 13 different professional presentations on topics ranging from Literacy to Bilingual Education,
Dr. Porche' was featured in a Westchester Business Journal article about New York School for the Deaf
and their 200th Year Anniversary. He was also recently nominated for the 2018 "Rising Stars 40 Under
40" Westchester Business Council award.
During his free time, he is actively involved in politics and is an advocate for the Deaf Community in areas
of LEAD-K, the Deaf Child Bill of Rights, Child First, and the Alice Cogswell and Macy Sullivan Act. He
and his wife Tyler, who is Deaf as well, have two wonderful children, Trevor 8, and Aurora, 4.
