SUMMER 2014
Welcome to the first edition of a pioneering new venture that is one small step for print publication,
and one giant leap for Journalism Studies at the University of Buckingham.
This glossy magazine is the result of a unique collaboration between students on
two Major modules, Press Journalism and Applied Publication Design.
Journalism module students submitted assessed coursework including major Feature and Profile
assignments for inclusion in the magazine which, in turn, was conceptualised and designed by
students of Applied Publication Design as pages for their final assessed coursework.
In each case, the best work from each set of students made the final cut into the real time,
real story publication you now have in your hands. Enjoy!
