weapon of war.
Her commitment to the cause was
revealed to the world with her directorial
debut In the Land of Blood and Honey
which dealt with violence against women
during the break-up Balkan wars of
Yugoslavia.
And she has paid tribute, in particular,
to the victims of the 1995 Srebrenica
massacre, and the accompanying
wholesale violation of helpless women.
