SEASON RESULT: Second in WSFL 2018 KEY PLAYERS: Stefan Cantwell, Dax Elsinger. THEIR OUTLOOK?: They look to improve on their No. 4 national ranking from a year ago. POTEETE’S TAKE: “Snow is traditionally a Top 10. They are a good team, and that is exciting to draw them to us.” Week Two - Sept. 1 New Mexico Military Broncos 2017 RECORD: 3-6 overall, 1-6 in conf. SEASON RESULT: Tied for fourth 2018 PREDICTED FINISH: Seventh place. 2018 KEY PLAYERS: Cody Frampton, Juan Ramirez, Olivier Charles Pierre and Steel Willis. THEIR OUTLOOK?: The Broncos are expecting big things in 2018 under coach Forchtner. He expects them to be better in all aspects of the game. FROM THE HEAD COACH: “We have some de- cent players coming back and they care a lot about the team this year. We will be young by junior college stan- dards.” — Joe Forchtner POTEETE’S TAKE: “Coach Forchtner does a great job with those kids. He gets them to play hard week in and week out. Coach Danny Palmer knows with six home games it will be huge for the Apaches this year. FROM THE HEAD COACH: “This is the year that we are go- ing to be a three wide receiver, H-back team because we have that this year.” — Danny Palmer POTEETE’S TAKE: “Danny always has those guys playing well early in the sea- son. THEIR OUTLOOK?: Allen takes over the program with big expectations in his 10th season. FROM THE HEAD COACH: “Our strengths offensively will be in the run game. We have three returning linemen on offense from last year’s team.” — Zach Allen. POTEETE’S TAKE: “Zach was my DC the year I was the head coach there in 2013. They will be ready to play and deservingly they will be the No. 1 seed heading into that game early into that game.” Week Five - Sept. 22 Blinn Buccaneers 2017 RECORD: 6-4 overall, 5-2 in conference. SEASON RESULT: Tied for first 2018 PREDICTED FINISH: Fourth place. 2018 KEY PLAYER: Corey Henderson, Carlos Grace. THEIR OUTLOOK?: He is very excited with the talent he has coming back. Coach Cody Mohan believes they have a chance to prove people wrong in 2018.
