CHILDREN ’ S PAINTING AND DRAWING
( Ages 6 - 14 years ) ( 10 weeks ) Our children ’ s painting and drawing classes focus on fostering creative confidence and explores a variety of mediums such as acrylic and watercolour painting , charcoal , conte and graphite drawing . Through different materials and styles , students will learn tonal value , perspective , portraiture and still life , along with both fundamental and expressive drawing and painting techniques to create well rounded and creative projects .
ADULT ART CLASSES
Landscape Painting ( 11 weeks ) We offer acrylic and oil painting classes for adults , ages 18 years and up . Classes focus on landscape studies and will explore principles such as tone , colour , form , texture , brush techniques , mixing , contrast and composition . Classes offer an intimate setting , which provides for one-on-one instruction , allowing students to fully explore their creative potential .
This course is suitable for adults of all levels and experience .
Instructor : Sam Paonessa is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design ( OCAD ). Sam began his long and fulfilling career at Hallmark Canada , creating paintings and artwork for a variety of products . Sam has been teaching at the Columbus Centre since 2010 .

For full details on current safety protocols for Columbus Centre Aquatics programs, Visit: villacharities.com Phone: 416-789-7011 FALL REGISTRATION Members 1 : Tuesday, September 8 *And their immediate family only 2 Non-Members: Thursday, September 10 Swimming Lessons (Swimmer 3 - Swimmer 9 & JSC) will begin on Monday, September 21. WINTER REGISTRATION Members 1 : Tuesday, January 5 *And their immediate family only 2 Non-Members: Thursday, January 7 Swimming Lessons will begin on Monday, January 18. Class Fee Members 1, 2 : $155.00 Non-Members 3 : $175.00 8 classes (unless otherwise stated) Please Note: › Please bring your last Report Card at the time of registration and the first class of each session. › Please refer to our website villacharities.com — Health and Fitness / Program Registration section for the downloadable form (PDF). › Registration fees for persons over the age of 14 are subject to HST. PRE-REGISTRATION POLICY All swim program participants may pre-register for the next session on the last day (or later) of their current session. Participants may only pre-register for the exact same day, same or next level of the class in which they are currently enrolled. 56 | FALL & WINTER 2020 /21 REFUND POLICY A refund will be issued only if a written request is received five days prior to start of the program subject to a $10.00 administrative fee. No refunds or credits for unused or missed classes. CREDIT POLICY A Letter of Credit for a program will be only issued by the Aquatics Supervisor. Any classes taken or missed by the participant will be prorated from the original cost of the program and will be subject to a $10.00 administrative fee. REGISTRATION POLICY 1. On Members Registration day, children with memberships, and parent members with children ages 12 and under may register for the upcoming session. The Members fee will apply unless your membership is on hold. 2. Members’ immediate family of the Columbus Centre, Joseph D. Carrier Art Gallery, Child Care and other recognized affiliations of Columbus Centre may register on this day. Proof of affiliation must be shown either by a receipt or written permission from the applicable department. The Non-Members fee will apply to all who do not have an athletic membership. 3. All other Non-Members may register on this day. The Non-Members fee will apply. Please note: There is a pre-determined limited enrollment for all swimming levels. Once this limit has been reached, registration for that level will be closed. No exceptions will be made. Please contact the Athletic Membership Office for availability to avoid any inconvenience. If the class you wish to register for is full, please leave your name and phone number with Membership Office staff so you may be contacted if additional classes are added (based on demand). Columbus Centre reserves the right to change or cancel swim classes should registration be insufficient on the first day of classes.
