Can Sinners Arrive in Heaven? Fire Baptism is Required!

Dr. Bruce Klein, Th.D.

Senior Pastor, The Bible Church UPCI Abbeville La

As a pastor, one of my goals is to help saints arrive in Heaven - no one ‘Left Behind’. Sin is a major concern; sin can keep us from Heaven.

“... let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Hebrews 12:1

Thus

“Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.” 1 John 3:6

“He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” 1 John 3:8

“Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.”

1 John 3:9

“We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God

keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.” 1 John 5:18

These verses are very clear. One act of sin is not acceptable. A Christian is not to commit one act of sin. We are to be perfect. We are to be holy.

How does a Christian arrive at a point of no sin? Now that is a good question!

How

John the Baptist said Jesus Christ would baptize you with fire.

“John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: 17 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.” (Matthew 3:11) (Isaiah 33:10-17) Luke 3:16-17

The chaff represents sin which is to be burned by fire.

Jesus said fire would be a part of a Christian’s life.

“For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt. 50 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltiness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.” Mark 9:49-50

Everyone must be salted with fire. Our choice, the fires of hell and the lake of fire or the cleansing fire of the Holy Ghost.
