Recreational Gymnastics
Beginner 1 6-12
Beginner level for school age girls. We open with a fun warm-up and stretch, which teaches the importance of flexibility. We learn basic gymnastics skills
on each Olympic event: Vault, Bars, Beam, and Floor. Progressions and lead-ups are the key factors at this level. One parent is allowed to drop off and pick
up, however, there are no spectators allowed in the building during class until Phase 5.
Beginner 2 6-12
Gymnastics skills will increase in difficulty, with a continued emphasis on safety. In addition to perfecting Beginner 1 skills, we also work on new skills
on each apparatus with emphasis on proper form and technique. Gymnasts may stay in the Beginner 2 level until they are mentally and physically
ready to move up. One parent is allowed to drop off and pick up, however, there are no spectators allowed in the building during class until Phase 5.
Advanced Beginner 6-12
Girls continue to build on the foundation of the skills mastered in Beginner 1 and 2. Gymnastics and conditioning skills will be progressively harder.
Progressions and lead-ups are still key in advanced beginner classes as most skills build from one-another. We emphasize proper form and technique.
Prerequisites include Beginner 1 and 2, and approval or evaluation by the Gymnastics Coordinator.
