This season showed great promise for the future of the Falcon track and field squads. The freshman class has multiple stars in a large range of events who have scored countless points for our team. The freshmen girls put on a great showing at the freshman Bergen County meet, winning first place in the Group C division. Backed by hardworking sophomores and juniors, the girls also captured first place at the NJIC novice meet. On the varsity level, the NJIC Meadowlands conference, the girls finished runner-up, while the boys came in a close third place. Our teams also competed at the Bergen County meet; our athletes conjured many notable performances, including the girls 4x800 relay capturing the silver medal. Looking ahead, the best is yet to come. The team only graduates five seniors. Keep an eye out for SBHS track and field in the headlines, for this program is soon to become a top performer in North Jersey.
